Template project
This is a template project used to illustrate how HUB Centro structures and documents project work. It represents a realistic scope for an emergency leak response, not a specific completed HUB Centro project. Real project case studies will replace placeholders like this one as they’re confirmed with clients.
The challenge
A property manager received an after-hours report of water actively entering a ground-floor tenant space, with the source unclear and risk to electrical and finished space growing by the hour.
Scope
Priority emergency response to locate and stabilize the leak, followed by coordinated repair and drying to limit further damage.
Work performed
- Responded to the priority call and assessed the source of water intrusion
- Stabilized the immediate issue to stop further water entry
- Coordinated drying and damage mitigation for the affected tenant space
- Scoped and completed the follow-up repair once the source was addressed
Outcome
Water intrusion was stopped and the affected space was stabilized, with follow-up repair completed and documented for the property manager and insurer.
The situation
Active water intrusion is one of the clearest examples of an issue that can’t wait for a scheduled visit — every hour of delay increases the risk to finishes, equipment and, in commercial spaces with nearby electrical systems, safety.
How this type of project is typically handled
The first priority is always stabilizing the situation — stopping further water entry — before addressing the underlying cause. Drying and damage mitigation happen in parallel with diagnosing the source, and the permanent repair is scoped once the immediate risk is under control.
Related services on a project like this
Emergency response often overlaps with other services depending on the cause and the damage involved — see Emergency Building Repairs for how urgent calls are handled.
